New to the shop - modern Dala horse statues! The Dala horse is a symbol of Scandinavian strength, faithfulness, wisdom, and dignity. They are a perfect addition to your bookshelf or mantle decor.

Size: 5.5" tall, 6" wide, 1.25" deep

Made from Jesmonite, a gypsum-based eco-resin.

The Dalas are sealed with wax and are resistant to moisture. Just wipe clean with a damp cloth, but please do not submerge in water and wipe up any spills as quickly as possible.

Materials

Jesmonite is a composite material used in fine arts, crafts, and construction. It consists of a gypsum-based material in an acrylic resin. 

Jesmonite is eco-friendly, water-based, non-toxic, and VOC-free.

Concrete is a composite material composed of fine and coarse aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement that hardens (cures) over time.

Care information

All items have been sealed and are moisture resistant. Please don't submerge items in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed.

Jesmonite has not been tested for food safety, but can be used for decorative tableware.

Wonderful Gifts from Mayhewn Studio

I am so happy to have found Mayhewn and their lovely work. The Dala Horse Statue was purchased for my own pleasure and I do love it. I admired the clean lines and colors, and have now learned a little bit about their cultural significance, too. I was also able to purchase some mini Dala Horse magnets to share with family and friends. They are adorable, affordable and their magnets are very strong! I look forward to shopping here again to find something unusual and personal and hand crafted.
